Fire Extinguisher Service & Supply

Fire Extinguisher Service & Supply

It is mandated within the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 that fire extinguishers are required in all buildings. Portable fire extinguishers should be provided for dealing with any potential fire hazard and for aiding the safe escape as identified in the fire risk assessment or by the competent person.

All fire extinguishers supplied by Reed Fire meet British Standard requirements – BS5306-3:2009 & BS5306-8:20212. Fire extinguishers should be serviced on an annual basis to comply with the BS5306. Here at Reed Fire, we can service as part of our ongoing maintenance programme to our clients, ensuring your fire protection equipment is always in a safe and useable condition.

Our Inclusive fire extinguisher service includes all the consumable parts which are required to be changed annually as per the British Standard. This ensures you have no additional costs for fire extinguisher parts when you receive your invoice and also enables easier budgeting.

All of our fire extinguisher certification and any other documentation is digital. All of your documents are emailed to you along with your invoice within 3 working days of the service date. Copies of your fire extinguisher certificate are also held on our system should you require them at any point.

Our system automatically releases service jobs monthly and we contact each customer to book in an agreed date and time to attend and carry out the fire extinguisher service. This gives you peace of mind that you will not miss a service as we manage that for you.

Fire Safety Signage

Fire Safety Signage

Fire safety signs form part of the overall fire protection within your premises, and is essential to the safety of you, your employees, your organisation and its customers.

Fire safety signs are not limited to evacuation, They consist of many different types typically including fire extinguisher signs, Fire call point signs, Fire action notices, Fire exit signs and Fire assembly signage.

All of our signs meet the design criteria of the British Standard for Escape Route Signing - BS ISO 7010 2011 Graphical Symbols, Safety Colours and safety signs, registered safety signs.

Fire Ancillary Products

Fire Ancillary Products

The British Standard for most disciplines advises that measures need to be taken to minimise vandalism and its impact on fire equipment. This is why most premises will require some form of ancillary equipment to be installed.

It may also be a requirement of your fire risk assessment that some form of ancillary equipment is required.

Reed Fire provide all the necessary ancillary equipment. This includes different types of fire extinguisher stands, cabinets and fire extinguisher protection covers.

Fire Risk Assessment
Fire Risk Assessment

Fire Risk Assessment

All Businesses in the UK are bound by legislation known as ‘Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005’. The RRO requires that a ‘Responsible Person’ is to be nominated for fire safety within the property. This person’s objective is to identify what is needed to prevent fire and risks to employees, visitors and customers.

Whether you have an existing fire risk assessment in place or require a new risk assessment, we can help you with a professional document tailored to your business.

We use independent IFSM qualified fire risk assessors who have many years experience within the fire protection industry. This ensures that your fire risk assessment is carried out to the highest standard with complete professionalism and your document is identifying all the risks within your premises.

It is also best practice to ensure your fire risk assessment is updated periodically to encompass ongoing changes in the building structure, relevant persons and other mitigating factors.

Our comprehensive digital fire risk assessment documentation includes photographs, links to necessary fire safety law websites and covers all aspects of your fire safety including fire extinguisher training, fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, fire doors, fire stopping, fire hydrants and so much more to ensure you have the correct information to assist you complying with fire safety law and standards.

Fire Training

Fire Training Courses

It is a legal requirement for all staff to have an adequate level of fire extinguisher training. The level of fire training which you require is usually dictated by the size of the business premises and the inherent risks within the workplace.

Depending on the fire risk assessment and the subsequent fire policy and emergency plan, selected staff will be required to be trained to a particular level. This will usually be either standard fire extinguisher training or fire warden training.

All of our fire extinguisher training and fire warden training courses can accommodate up to 10 candidates per course and all courses include a 'live' fire practical session which allows for candidates to use various types of fire extinguishers and fire blankets.

Our fire trainers are fully insured and have decades of experience within the fire protection industry, especially fire training. This ensure you get the most engaging and knowledgeable training available.

Site Surveys

If you have a brand new building or existing premises which requires a fire safety site survey then Reed Fire can help.

Fire safety law in the UK requires all businesses to have a certain level of fire fighting equipment in place. The fire fighting equipment also must be maintained in accordance with the relevant British Standards.

Reed Fire has huge experience with the survey of new or existing premises for fire safety requirements. This can be advising on the correct fire fighting protection equipment for the risk, positioning of the equipment and correct location for fire safety signage.
